A super-strong clutch that combines ease of operation with an output ceiling of more than 600ps – this was the development concept that launched the SUPER COPPERMIX TWIN. NISMO first floated this concept as a carbon twin product. Two years into its development, we decided that the low μ of carbon facings could not match the performance that COPPERMIX promised. This makes the SUPER COPPERMIX TWIN the culmination of three and a half years of testing and development. It is the ultimate model in the NISMO multi-plate clutch series.
Compared to the standard rubber hose, stainless steel mesh has a much lower rate of expansion. The Teflon interior of the pipe keeps resistance low and guarantees smooth flow for more direct handling. To facilitate the release of air during clutch maintenance.
Basic model in kit form, contains clutch disk (COPPERMIX), reinforced clutch cover, lightweight flywheel, and release bearings.
-The sports clutch discs and light weight flywheels, which are designed and manufactured to increase capacity for higher output and to improve clutch response, may cause the transmission or bearings to make a rumbling noise which is not present when using the original Nissan production parts. Such noise is particularly likely to occur when idling or when accelerating and decelerating at around 2000 rpm. Please be aware that this rumbling is not due to any defect in the parts.
-Do not use with a Big Operating Cylinder. This can result in blocking proper disengagemnt of the gears because of insufficient stroke volume.
By hardening the inner rubber of a standard shift lever, the amount of deflection is decreased. At the same time, the lever length was reduced by about 7.5mm, providing a stroke 10% shorter. This changes the rather soft touch of a standard car to a much more precise, fast feeling. At the same time, while the goal is to change to a quicker shift, an overly short shift stroke will result in poor, heavy shifting. Unlike a quick shift, the lever ratio has not been changed, so the transmission synchro is not effected and a moderately faster degree of shifting is possible. Installation is easy because the solid shift has the same basic dimensions as a standard shift.
